Abundance!

Over forty varieties of dry sausage were available at a market stall in Place de la Victoire here in Clermont-Ferrand France (where I live now - if you haven't been keeping up).

France is not any easy place to maintain an imported lifestyle. You will forever be looking for habitual things which are impossible to find.

If, however, you are willing to adopt what is novel and dissimilar to what you've lived with before then you're where you need to be.

Oh! Raspberry Rabbit! I've just worked out that you might be the new Pastor at the American Church in Royat. I was invited to your induction (or whatever) as I'd been to the church once, but I couldn't go as my Mother inLaw was staying. I live not too far up the road (well 70 km) towards St Etienne, & I used to work in Clermont Ferrand before being made redundant from my language school. I still go in once a week for French lessons though. Well, hello, and welcome to the area! (belatedly)
